Despite the fact that in Poland the names of professions are used interchangeably, such as behaviorist, zoopsychologist, and animal psychologist – behaviorist deals mainly with the behavior of the cat and the modification of its behavior and its well-being, to a lesser or zero extent it will focus on the relationship of a cat with a human and the influence of a human on behavior cat. A zoopsychologist, apart from the aspect of animal behavior, focuses on human behavior, its reaction, its relationship with the animal, and on the modification of this element. Behavioral problems of animals most often result from the lack of knowledge on the part of humans or the lack of will to accept the behavior that is natural for the species. And unfortunately, the problems indicated by the guardian are often treated one-sidedly, that the animal is problematic, not taking into account that a problem is often a man and his imaginary expectations, the zoopsychologist pays attention to the human context in the animal-human relationship and often explains to the man what he needs to change in their behavior so that the relationship with the mentee enters a higher level of understanding. When you call a behaviorist or zoopsychologist, you don’t pay him to eliminate the problem or problematic behavior, but you pay for consulting the problem, you get tools (part of these tools is understanding behavior and acceptance) with which you have to work, often from the zoopsychologist you will receive in addition to comments on cat topic – you will receive comments on your behavior.
